This would probably have been appreciated more if it wasn't paired with Heady, Focal, and Sip of Sunshine. That being said, I've had it before and thought it was OK. This pairing did it no good. Still a strong brew but in comparison only in the top 4. —by Michael Calderone

  • Heady Topper

Dear Heady Topper, We've had some great times. For a while you were my number 1. We have had some great moments together. However, there is someone close to you know that has taken over your spot. It's not you, really, it's me. My palette has developed and I am tired of only you. I just wanted you to know that I am now a bigger fan of Focal. While Focal is my new best girl, you will always be my first Alchemist love and you can always be my "side beer". -Hugs and Kisses—by Michael Calderone

  • Focal Banger

I think I actually like this more than Heady. Which makes me feel dirty and sad. Sorry, heady, but Focalbanger is my new favorite Alchemist brew. —by Michael Calderone

  • Rodenbach Grand Cru

While I have never actually found a sour that I liked, this one ended that streak. I wouldn't necessarily order one but this was much more tolerable than I thought. —by Michael Calderone

  • Weistephaner Hefe

6-7 years ago when I left the world of Miller Lite and Bud light lime and began to explore the Bougey world of craft beers, my first foray was into the Hefes. This one, was good but not the best I've ever had.Solid. —by Michael Calderone

  • Chimay Blue

I hate to admit that until this moment, I had never had a Chimay in my life. AS I have become an almost soley IPA drinking man, this beer has given me cause to attempt to diversify my consumption of other beers. This was such a smooth drinking beer I am actually upset with myself for missing out on it for so long.—by Michael Calderone

  • Samiclaus 2015

After 4-5 solid tugs on this beer, I felt like i should have mentally and physically prepared to drink this. The preparation I speak of is not simple reflection and some stretching, rather that of Rocky Balboa in Rocky IV prior to his bout with Ivan Drago. I truly believe that only running waist deep in snow with a 20 foot oak tree draped over my shoulders could provide me with the masculinity necessary to finish this beer. Unlike Rocky, I threw in the towel on this beer long before being KO'd by this Malt Liquor. As I threw the bottle in the recycling bin, the words of Ivan Drago echoed through the decades as I heard, "If he dies...he dies".—by Michael Calderone

  • Sunday Morning Stout

Mother of God. This poured like 10W30 oil and resembled the ocean after the Exxon Valdez disaster. I also imagine this is what a smoothie made out of seal looks like. Once I got past what it looked like I was pleased with the boozey stoutiness. I started typing this while drinking it and got a buzz before I finished writing. Therefore, my review ends here. —by Michael Calderone
